The Bio-Farm
We offer two 1-bedroom apartments plus four bedrooms with ensuite bathroom. The eco-lodges sits on a natural terrace with a unique view over the maremma hills, the coast to the Giglio island and to the Amiata mountain.
The traditional countryhouse in stone and terracotta has been recently fully restored in bioarchitecture and with exclusive use of renewable energies. Each apt. has its own patio with a dinner table, autonomous access and highest privacy. The kitchen is fully equipped.
No radio or TV in the apartment because silence is one of the assets of the place, no airconditioning because our 60cm stone wall is an excellent thermal insulation.

Location and surroundings
(Spa) in Saturnia there are the most reknown spring of sulphureous water in Italy with pools at a costant temperature of 98°F: you can choose between the private spa and the public cascades.
(Nature): the Grosseto province with 14 natural parks, 4 WWF oasis and the largest natural park in Europe it is the ideal destination for the wildlife lover.
(Seaside) the coast facing the Argentario peninsula offer miles of fine sandy beaches acclaimed among the cleanest in Italy. From S.Stefano by ferry-boat it is possible to organize day-trips to Giglio and Giannutri Islands.
(Culture) the remains in the area around Montarlese offer a journey through time: the Bronze Age testimony near Saturnia, Etruscan necropolis in Vulci; the Roman period in Cosa.

Mountain bikes and Track suggestions. In a ten minutes range a 18-hole golf course and a professional horse-back riding centre are available. Night sessions at moon and planets watching with our telescope.
On request we organize wine and olive oil tasting session. We organize special session for parties or work sessions up to 12 people.

From Grosseto, follow on the SS.1 Aurelia southbound up to Albinia exit. In Albinia follow on the SR.74 to Manciano. At km 23.900 (there are milestones on the side of the road and it’s about 8 km before Manciano) turn left on a country road marked by two red bricks columns and two tall pine trees. From here follow indications for about 4,5 km till an entrance gate with the a board with “Montarlese” name. Please download a detailed map from our site.
From South A12 to Civitavecchia,follow SS1 up to Albinia, turn right on the SP74 towards Manciano
