The Holiday Apartment

The apartment comprises a large bright living room with double sofa bed, modern kitchen with dining area and a new 32' flat screen tv and dvd player, bedroom with double bed, hallway with fitted wardrobes, modern bathroom with bath, shower and electric towel warmer, and a south facing balcony with table, chairs and beautiful mountain views. Most furnishings are new as the apartment has only recently been made available for the rental market. There is a private lockable cellar compartment for skis and suitcases etc. The apartment complex has a laundry and drying room, indoor bike storage and a large south-facing private garden. Unlimited wifi is included.
The apartment can be rented with home 40365 to give accommodation for up to 7 people.

Location and surroundings

The area is beautiful and cultural, with towns such as Hallstatt and Bad Ischl at opposite ends of the Goisern valley. The whole Salzkammergut is a UNESCO World and Natural Heritage Area.
Surrounded by mountains, with the 3000m Dachstein the highest, there are many nearby ski resorts for all abilities. In summer the 76 lakes of the Salzkammergut offer swimming, diving, boating and sailing. The nearest beach on Lake Hallstatt is just 5 minutes from the apartment. There are hundreds of kilometers of marked walking, hiking and cycling paths and over 1000 kilometers of mountain bike routes.
Restaurants, bank with cashpoint, grocer and baker nearby, supermarkets and petrol stations 2km. Train station 150m, ski bus 100m, Lake Hallstatt 5 minutes.

Arrival

The apartment is between Bad Ischl and Hallstatt, near the train station Steeg-Gosau. From Bad Ischl, drive south on the B145, turning off approximately 1km after Bad Goisern on the B166, following signs for Hallstatt. After 2km you will cross a level crossing just past the village of Au. Turn immediately right after the level crossing and then first left. The apartment is 30 metres along on the left hand side.

If coming from Gosau, follow the B166 direction Bad Goisern. Passing Lake Hallstatt on your right, you will cross the river Traun with the 'Steegwirt' restaurant on the left. After another 100m turn left just before the level crossing, and first left again. The apartment is 30 metres along on the left hand side.

   Wir waren im Mai 2012 für 3 Tage mit zwei Familien da. Die Aussicht vom Balkon war einfach toll! Die Wohnung war sauber, es war genug Platz für 4 Erwachsene und 1 Kleinkind (bekammen sogar 1 zusätzliche Matratze ohne Aufpreis für den Kleinen).
   
   In der Wohnung befindet sich alles, was ein Selbstversorger so alles braucht. Netter und hilfsbereiter Kontakt mit dem Vermieter, wir bekamen ausführliche Informationen zu der Wohnung und der näheren Umgebung.

   Waren im Sommer mit unsern Kindern in dieser Ferienwohnung und waren sehr zufrieden. Es wäre schön, wenn noch so ein-zwei kleine Töpfe da wären. Man kann mit dem Fahrrad sehr gut um den Hallstättersee fahren. Es gibt von dort auch wunderbare Wanderwege.
   
   Wir werden bestimmt noch mal kommen, es war alles prima, die Wohnung preislich familienfreundlich.

   Ich war Ende September/Anfang Oktober dienstlich in Bad Goisern und hatte mich in diese Wohnung ein gemietet. Vorgefunden habe ich die Wohnung in einem super sauberen Zustand. Es war alles vorhanden, was man für eine 14tägige Dienstreise braucht. Die Kommunikation zum Vermieter war unkompliziert und sehr nett. Auch das Hausmeisterehepaar war sehr freundlich. Sollte ich wieder in der Nähe von Bad Goisern zu tun haben, werde ich sicherlich versuchen mich wieder dort ein zu mieten ! Für Dienstreisenden und auch kleine Familien sehr zu empfehlen !!!
