This comfortable 17 century villa was founded by the ship-building family Costa from Genova, who now operate the Costa Cruise Line.
The entrance to the main wing of the villa leads through a majestic iron gate, down a tree alley, and simetrical lawns.
Ground floor: entrance, sitting room, small single bedroom, kitchen w / dinning table for 8 people and fireplace, laundry room, bath w/shower In the courtyard authentic renovated terracotta oven for bread and pizza.
1st floor:
A spacious master bedroom w/its own bathroom w/ tub & shower, two twin bedrooms, a bathroom w/ tub & shower.
The most popular room is a grande salone with marble fireplace and comfortable sofas for relaxing and friends conversation, decorated with frescoes.
The architecture of the villa and interior decor provide an unpretentious ambience that is warm and welcoming.
Outdoor: guests will enjoy summer living and dining al fresco on the terracotta terrace with Tuscan style bbq,
equipped with gazebo, table, umbrella and deck chairs.Harmoniously planned garden with lawns, alleys and pine trees offer refreshing shaddows , is secluded and safe for children to play. |

Villa Costa is located in Marlia( 6 km from Lucca), an area famous for many aristocratic villas and their formal Tuscan gardens.
There is a bus just behind the villa green fences taking you in 20 min. to Lucca hist center and train station.
Marlia town with shops & family run restaurants- 10 min walk.

Tours to local fattorias for wine and Lucca vergin olive oil tasting.

LUCCA is an ancient, small but significant town famous for untouched renaissance walls and 99 churches , with variety of towers, one which has a gigantic old tree growing on top.
Composer Giacomo Puccini was born here and musical activity attracts musicians from all over the world.
Villa Reale in Marlia, the former property of Elisa, Napoleon sister, is worth a visit for it's gorgeous park.

Travel information
The closest airports are Pisa (15miles) and Florence (40 miles). By car, from Lucca, take the SS12 road heading north, directions Abetone and after about 3 miles make a right turn on San Pietro a Vico. When you reach the San Pietro church, make a left and keep left until you reach the villa.
