The Holiday Apartment
The apartment you'll stay in is on the completely renovated ground floor of a historical monument. It is equipped with under floor-heating which can be regulated individually for each room according to your needs (i.e. cooler bedrooms). The living-room and the bedrooms have parquet flooring, the other areas are covered with tiles.
This is a non-smoker apartment. You'll relax in an old historical monument. With 89 square meters, up to six persons can be accommodated comfortably so that you'll keep out of each other's way. The apartment has its own entrance, so you will be undisturbed and won't disturb anybody else when coming "home" late at night, or leaving early for a hike.
During the summer you can use the lawn to take a sun bath.

Location and surroundings
Falkenstein (628m above sea-level) a picturesque town, has been recognised as a climatic health resort for more than two decades.
It is surrounded by a beautiful landscape rich in forests, and overlooked by the castle. It has 1,700 inhabitants and is the administrative centre for the 3.000 inhabitants of the villages in its vicinity. All important services are available.
Apart from the castle with its Hunting Museum and its yearly Summer Festival, the estate - the second largest nature and rock reserve in Bavaria - attrackts lots of visitors each year. As does the former railway embankment to Regensburg, 35 nice km travelled by bike riders in the summer and cross country skiers in the winter.

Coming from Nürnberg:
You take the motorway A3 Nürnberg - Regensburg - Passau. Behind Regensburg You exit at "Wörth Ost" (nr. 104b), turning left following the signs to "Falkenstein" for about 16 kilometers. In Falkenstein you turn right (direction "Straubing"), and then ca 300m.
