The Holiday House Park
Our ecologically built houses (each 85 sqm) are surrounded by grazing horses and are situated on a sunny south facing slope.
On the basement you enter the living room with an open full equipped kitchen, that comes with dishwasher, oven, Senseo coffee dispenser, fridge, freezer and much more.
The pellet oven, rustic flagging and oiled timber floor boards in the attic, tasteful wooden furniture and wooden ceiling all contribute to the well-being and country house flair.
Furthermore do the houses offer floor heating in the double bedroom and bathroom.
By following the wooden staircase you reach the gallery, that supplies Sat-TV, DVD, CD, bookshelves and a sleeping couch, another comfy bedroom with twin beds and sleeping couch and a laundry room.
The colourful paintings of the famous artist Rosina Wachtmeister, who was our very first guest, create a southern atmosphere.
Relax in our carefully planted garden and enjoy the view on the valley and the horse riders of the neighbouring riding stable. Or spend a romantic evening near the bonfire in our Indian tipi.
Due to the blue painted front door and shutters and the Mediterranean plants such as banana, oleander, rosemary, lilac, roses, the colourful flower buckets, sculptures of the artist Rosina Wachtmeister and the never-ending chirping of the crickets make you feel like in the Mediterranean sea.
Parking space is provided on the gateway to the vacation houses.
Special features
All the houses are similarly equipped and not too close to each other so that our guests will not feel disturbed by each other.
Every house comes with its own sunny garden area and is also in the entrance area separated by twines, so that you can maintain your privacy.

If you want to get the real Indian experience you can rent the tipi and sleep a night there at the bonfire.Every 14 days do we have a beautiful evening together with didgeridoo play and drums.

Location and surroundings
The natural preserve village Rissenthal is located in a romantic valley, 5 km away from Losheim am See in the northern part of the Saarland.
From there you can reach the most awarded hiking trail in Germany, as well as the Schluchtenpfad track and 6 other awarded hiking trails.
The appealing surrounding offers hiking, cycling, horse riding, as well as, regeneration in the nature and many attractive places of excursions, such as the charming district town Merzig, Luxembourg, Trier, Metz, the famous Saalschleife, the "gardens without borders", the wolves rearcher Werner Freund, the Latin Villa Borg and the castle of Montclair.
Water lovers may go swimming at the lake of Losheim or the health-bath in Merzig, that has its own thermal spring.
Children may like to drive with the historical railway and visit the railway museum.
You can also visit the cultural highlights of the surroundings, such as open-air concerts at the lake, operas in a circus tent, medieval tournaments or celebrations for children. Culinary delights you can discover in one of the restaurants with French flair.

For our holiday kids we offer a small riding school for the child and parents following the teachings of Hippolino (we have 2 graduated Hippolino teachers).
Celebrate your child's birthday in and around the tipi all watched by an elementary school teacher.
