The Apartments
The Apartment-Hotel Aglaia is situated in the small traditional village Kalamaki, only 70 m from the beach.
There are a total of 7 very comfortable furnished apartments, which were just completely renovated in 2007, as well 7 double- rooms.
All offer its own bath (shower/WC) balcony with view to the sea, door table and chairs, full equipped kitchenette with a cooker top and oven as well as refrigerator and air conditioning (extra-price).
The apartments are very clean (daily cleaning - except sunday), spacious and modern furnished.
The family Charalambaki managed the house during the last 12 years to provide the best possible hospitality while offering a very good value of price.

The family Aglaia and Jannis Charalambaki are very hospitable and nicely without beeing importunate.

Kalamaki is a little seaside resort located to the south of Kamilari directly on the coast.(Aprox.: 65 km from Irakio/airport, about 1 hour by car)
It is famous for it´s long sandy beach, Comos, which is connecting Kalamaki and Pitsidia.
For the windy days there is a small public pool in aprox. 200 m.
From Kalamaki one can easly visit the near villages as Matala, Kamilari or Sivas. Or you can start from this place for several excursions. (Canyon of Ag. Farago, Festos, the historical town of Gortys and more)

The long sandy beach loads for easing, shells search and walking in. There is a small horse-farm in the village Pitsidia, which offers beach rides in the evening.
The highly transparent water of the Libyan sea is ideal to swimming and snorkels. There is the possibility to rent bicycles, motorcycles or jeeps (with or without route Guide).
