The vacation rental
This house is part of a small holiday village in Sesmarias (right between Ferragudo and Carvoeiro) very close to various golf courses. This complex (16 houses) was fitted in a harmonical way into the existing landscape, maintaining an individual character. The house is very tastefully decorated and furnished. From the various balconies and large roof terrace one has nice coutry side views. To the beaches of Ferragudos or Carvoeiro you do not more than 10 minutes by car. Guest are entitled to make use of the nice community pool. Closeby also choice of restaurants, supermarket etc. The house has its own parking space with carport. |

The surrounding area
The fishermen’s village Ferragudo is one of the most charming villages of the Algarve. In the small harbour you can watch the boats lying on the sandy bottom with low tide. The winding small alleys and in numerous steps gives you a genuine insight of the typical Portuguese mentality. Here, live goes on steadily and easy going. In front of the white washed, flower decorated houses; women do their laundry and grilled their lunch sardines. In the small shops „mini-Mercado’s” every body does their daily shopping. The people are always friendly and helpful. In the small local market you can buy your fresh fish, seafood, fruit and vegetables. The small church in the top part of the village is well worth a visit. There you have a good viewing point over the harbour entrance Portimão and the Atlantic. You will not find sterile, concrete buildings or impersonal tourist complexes and hotels; instead you’ll find beautiful pool villas, cosy apartments or houses and individual holiday resorts. The main square is meeting point for both locals as visitors. Around the square are nice cafes and small bars, the post office and the bank and nearby a vast choice of excellent local restaurants with still pleasant prices. In the summertime (weekends only) there are Portuguese performances of song, theatre and dance in the square, reminding of a large family gathering.
