The Holiday Apartment

We would like to spoil you with our attention, with lovely decorated rooms and a lot of other little trifles, which are awaiting you at our farm. Just to mention or Sauna and steam bath, the blockhouse with fireside, where you can spent sociable evenings in summer as in winter.
The totaly renovated (2009) vacation apartment "Straubing" at the farm called "Knallerbsen-Hof" offers room for 4 adults and 2 children.
The vacation apartment "Straubing" is the one apartment of 2 nearly identical apartments at our family friendly.

Special features

Your children will be pleased by our farm with Donkeys, Gooses, running ducks, a farm dog, two horses, and last but not least a big playground with lots of attractions.

Location and surroundings

Hiking:
During the season guided tours are organised as well as excursions to Prague and hiking tours to the mountains of the Bavarian Forest (Arber, Osser, Kaitersberg, Hoher Bogen, Großer and Kleiner Falkenstein, Lusen, Rusel etc).

Bicycle Tours:
You can enjoy a relaxed ride on clearly signposted cycleways (partly with bus transfers) or try a more challenging mountain-bike tour (guided tours possible); long-distance tours through the idyllic Bavarian Forest , e.g. the original European Cup route of the Arber marathon or around Roding, part of the International Tour de Baviere, are easily accessed as well. The cycleway along the river Regen leads you from its mouth in Regensburg near to its spring in Bayrisch Eisenstein.

   Wir haben mit unseren beiden Kindern (6 und 3 Jahre) zwei Wochen auf dem Knallerbsenhof verbracht. Neben der großzügigen Fereinwohnung bot der Hof für uns alle viele Plätze und Gelegenheiten, sich zu entspannen, Gesprächen nachzugehen und der Natur zu begegnen. Wir trafen auf eine herzliche Gastgeberfamilie, bei der wir uns außerordentlich wohl gefühlt haben. Neben der ruhigen Lage in der Umgebung von Falkenstein lockt auch die Stadt Regensburg mit ihrer charaktervollen und attraktiven Altstadt. Der Kanllerbsenhof ist ein Ziel, das wir in der näheren Zukunft sicherlich noch öfter ansteuern werden.
