The outside of the house has been built in a Czech style and is a roomy, cosy and well-appointed home. It is siuated against a mountain slope and at the edge of the woods.

Wintersport	Activities Skiing * The season for skiing is from November / December untill the end of March and has a lot to offer. Czech Republic is very well suited for families with children and for the less experienced skiers. Skiareas in the direction of Stupná 1. In Dolni Dvur, for children / first start 2. In Vrchlabi, small, lovely and friendly 3. In Cerny Dul, small, lovely and friendly 4. In Janzke Lazne, very lovely, quiet lkot of possiblities, loved by Dutch peopler 5. In Spinleruv Mlyn, largest area and the most sizeable Skiing inVrchlabi From Stupná it is a drive of 20 min. To come into the heart of the Czech wintersport-area, the town called Vrchlabi. In winter time one can ski, ski-cross country and board lovely here. Then it looks like little Swiss. Here you find ski-schools, ski-lifts and slopes. The ski-school is Lenka in Vrchlabi. The slopes of the school are untill 860 m. long. Also you are on the right place for boarding here. Skiing in Cerny Dul Ski area SKIPARK Cerny Dul is conveient for friends of downhill skiing. Downhill routes Veronika I, Veronika II and children ski lift are good for beginners and children including night skiing. Advance skiers and snowboardes have the apportunity to ski on exacting slopes Špičák (1001m above sea level). You can use also ski lift U lomu and children ski lift Rosnička. Ticket is valid for all ski lifts. Excellent conditions are also for running skiing. The main running routes are formed by machines and connected to Krkonošská ski route. Pleasant countryside of Černý Důl is convenient for quiet holiday. Skiing in Ped pod Snezkou The ski resort, which is the largest in area, operating 1 four chair lift and 10 ski lifts with a transport capacity of 9630 persons/hour and arround 9 km of downhill slopes of varying degrees of difficulty. The downhill slopes are particularly popular with families and children because of the wide range of choices, with range from training meadows to challenging runs. In the evening hours, 3 ski lifts with artificial lighting are in operation-one of which is Javor, the longest and best illuminated downhill slope in the Czech Republic. Visitors are provided access to all places in the resort by means of a single magnetic card. For snowboarding enthusiasts, a large funpark is available season-long. Cross-country skiers (langlaufers) can make use of the Giant Mountain main track, which is kept in perfect conditions by constant grooming. Pec pod Snezku is situated at 769 meters above sea level at the foot of the highest mountain in the Czech Republic, Snezka (in English the Snow top) 1602 m. A 3,5 km long chair lift takes you from the village to the top of Snezka so there is good ski elevation here. A couple of kilometers down from the village you find another ski area, with several ski lifts and one chair lift. There is one ski card for both areas. Best conditions is usually from December to March Skiing in Dolni Dvur After the year 1945 german Niederhof was changed to Dolni Dvur. New habitation started in this village. The cottagers and establishment were very interested in this area. The village Dolní Dvůr became to mountain recreation place. Above sea level of Dolni Dvur is 610-760m. Dolni Dvur is located directly in the middle of Giant Mountain. The visitors can make a lot of beatiful trips here. The routes are convenient for walking, cross country skiing and cyclists too.During the winter season are opened 5 ski lifts. The other ski lifts you can find in Hanapetrova paseka and in Kužel close to Liberecká bouda. It is not so far to the ski lift in Strazne too. The services provided to the visitors: lending office of ski equipments, ski school, parking place, refreshment, big possibilities of accommodation. The easternest part of National park in Krkonose. Mlade Buky was established in the year 1006 by Martin Vytanovsky. Nex, first-rate, ski area takes advantage of northern slopes Pekelský vrch (583m above sea llvel). Visiters of ski area expect pleasant fields convenient for children, beginners, advanced skiers and snowboards. Good snow conditions are ensured by technical snow. The slopes are formed by machine Kassbohrer. The checking system is common also for ski areas SKIPARK Cernýy Dul and Dolni Dvur. Very interesting is night skiing. In the centre you can find: skibar, lending office of ski equipment, skischool and ski mersery. Connection to Krkonosska running route=direction to Janské Lazne through Janska hora to Hoffmanova chalet. Skiing in Spindleruv Mlyn Spindleruv Mlyn is situated at 715 meters above sea level. The village is in a valley surrounded by mountains. This is the most visited and the largest ski resort in the Czech Republic. There are two major ski areas, Svaty Peter and Medvedin, situated on each side of the village. They are approximately 1.5 km apart from each other. Svaty Petr ski area consists of 16 lifts, and 20 trails (5 green, 5 blue, 7 red and 3 black). The top station is at 1310 m and the maximum vertical drop is 495 m. The maximum uplift capacity is 15 000 pers/hour. The other ski area, Medvedin, has 7 lifts and 5 trails (3 blue, 1 red, 1 black). The maximum vertical drop is 325 m and the top station is at 1235 m. The maximum uplift capacity is 3 400 pers/hour. The best snow conditions are usually from the middle of January until the middle of March. They have artificial snowmaking equipment in Svaty Petr. There are also tracks for cross-country skiing here. Spindleruv Mlyn is only 130 km from Prague Skiing in Harrachov The town Harrachov is a winter-sport centre and has the highest ski-jump of the country. The highest point of the giant mountain is the top of the mountain Snezka (1602), which you can reach by chair-lift from Pec pod Snezkou. All this is at a distance of 10 km. from this nice house, which is laying in the snow, upon the mountain in Stupna. The town is also well-known for the glass-works, which was established in the 17th century. The glass is exported all over the world. In the mountain-town Vrchlabi, the gateway to the giant moutain, one finds the National Historic Museum. A small peak over the boarder of Poland is something really worthwhile. Harrachov is situated at 650 meters above sea level. The skiing is concentrated to the mountain Certova Hora (the Devils mountain), 1020 m. The maximum vertical drop is 370 m. But there are also other smaller resorts in the area, if one wants variation. In the area there are 15 lifts and 8 trails (5 blue, 2 red and 1 black). The maximum uplift capacity is 6500 pers/hour. It is possible to ski in the evening due to electrical lighted slopes. In the ski area of Certova Hora you will find ski-jumps, where they arrange the World Cup. There should also be good conditions for cross-country skiing here.
