Location and surroundings
Cabarete is world-renowned wind-water sports destination with all the charm of a tropical village atmosphere.
Dozens of beautiful beaches are within 1 hr's drive, east or west.
Playa Grande, DR's "Pebble Beach", has 10/18 holes overlooking the ocean.
Ocean World 1 hr west, has a water park where you can swim with dolphins.
Puerto Plata, 45 minutes west, has Christopher Columbus's original fort built in 1492, on the cliffs looking out to sea.
Sosua Beach has a wonderful snorkeling and scuba diving beach.
Our hometown, Cabarete has world famous kite-boarding, windsurfing, and surfing beaches. Our guests say once they've enjoyed these conditions, they don't want to kite anywhere else!

We're 30 minutes east of Puerta Plata, 20 minutes from the major international airport there, and 10 minutes from Sosua.
On the east edge of Cabarete, 300m east of the Texaco, and on the same side of the street, we're across from Cabarete East (a luxury condo complex) and 1km east of Janet's groc store.
We have a tall yellow wall along the front street with our name, "Vecinos" written on it with black letters, and a wide white iron-rail gate.
We also have a "Saturday Market" street sign in front of our wall at the street.
Regular check-in time is 4pm and check-out is at noon - alternate arrangements may be available for your dates upon request.

by H. Drabant from BargteheideEine kleine überschauliche Anlage mit Pool und diversen Tieren. Lyn und Les stehen jederzeit für Infos zur Verfügung. Der Hit ist der Sonnabend, wenn im Haupthaus eine Art Flohmarkt stattfindet. Ein Treffen von vielen interessanten Menschen, viele deutschsprechend.

Ellen + Horst were wonderful guests who made themselves right at home and fit right into our small community. It was wonderful to see them enjoying our pool, pets, and weekly Saturday Market -where they met and spent happy hours visiting with lots of other customers who came to shop and socialize. They were most helpful when new guests came by welcoming them warmly and sharing their experiences at Vecinos and surrounding countryside. They made interesting day trips, exploring our island and telling us + our guests all about their adventures. We really enjoyed their time with us, and welcome them back for another stay anytime!
