At Casa di Pia, holidays flats in a country house of Ostuni, Puglia.
A private citizen, rents flats of a panoramic country house during the summer time. The villa is close to his holiday house in the country of Ostuni, Puglia and it is possible to rent a flat for a week too.
The country house is located in a hilly district, far 2 km from the city of Ostuni and few minutes from the sea.
The flats have been furnished with care and each of them has a TV color, the halls are independent and the parking place is in common. The access of each apartment is preceded by a wide and furnished veranda, which faces private external spaces equipped with barbecue for exclusive use.
The villa is surrounded by a enclosure full of olive-trees and its is possible to walk through or to go by bicycle picking figs, almonds and other fruits.
Another area of the villa, with a gazebo and a small fountain, allows children to play peacefully and far away by auto dangers.
The hilly position, 15 minutes from the sea, the temperate climate and the healthy air give the possibility of a serene holiday in complete relax.
The respect of the privacy, the familiar reception, our chats in the moonlight about the olive oil, the gastronomy and the landscape beauties of Puglia change our welcome guests into affectionate friends. |

Ostuni
If you like visiting a beautiful places , you must visit Ostuni, called "the white town", it is situated in Murges coasts on old messapic settlements .The storic centre is called "Rione Terra", it is defined by aragoneses ramparts, and it is caricaturised by white houses.
The harrow streets and the small stairs framed by arches and vaults, the small ladges and the white walls make a magic atmosphere that takes in a period where the time doesn't exist
Every part of the town is interesting to be visited but in particular way:
• The late gothic Cathedral of 1400. The interior is predominantly Baroque. In a chapel on the right there's a Jacopo Palma's picture.
• St. Maria Maddalena's church
• St. Biagio and St. Oronzo's Sanctuary
• The Church of Annunziata that still keep Veronesi's deposition.
Castellana's caves, they were discovered by Franco Anelli, a spelealogist, this caves, although know and visited, take to adventure thanks to the typical names of the places, like: the Black cave, the Precipice's cave, the Angel's cave, the White cave, Crystal's small lake. After the whole journey among stalactites and stalagmites you will forget unlikely crystals world.
The valley of Itria, this is a pleasant plain scattered with "Trulli" and farms. It is an altitude of 400 metres.
Martina Franca, Locorotondo and Cisternino, typic Apulian towns for their architecture, the are caractized by stone's culture, for the structure of walls and for the white fronts.
From this natural terraces you can enjoy the landscape dominated by the red land delimited by dry stone wall.
Alberobello, the city of "Trulli" (picturesque stone houses) at about 33 km from Ostuni and it is at an altitude of 416 m.
It's distrait of "Trulli", Monti and Aia Piccola, are declared national monuments, they are a wonderful show also for the beautiful "Sovrano trullo", the only with two floors.
Grottaglie it is at about 30 km from Ostuni. It is an old centre famous for its artistic ceramics. They are produced in a particular place of the town, called "Quartiere dei camini".
Safari's park, in the outskirts of Fasano, it is at about 25 km from Ostuni, there are many free exotic animals and adelphinarium. There is also a big amusement park for children. You can visit safari's park by car ( but you must keep your windows closed).
The aristocratic LECCE is for 75 km from Ostuni........the baroque

From Bari - Motorway exit "Bari - nord" - "Brindisi - Lecce" direction - km 75. Get onto the SS 16 and carry on to S.S.379 , leave the main road at the turn off for Ostuni-Villanova and on the outskirts of Ostuni you follow indications to Cisternino. Get onto the Vallegna road, after 2 km …….here we are.
From Brindisi - Bari direction- km 27. Get onto S.S.379 leave the main road at the turn off Ostuni - Torre Pozzella to get onto S.P.21;at the beginning of the S.S.16 at the outskirts of Ostuni, follow indication first for Ceglie , then for Cisternino. Get on to Vallegna road at about km 2 ……here we are. |
