House	The vacation rental Casa"Liro" is located in a gulf on the north - west coast of Lake Como in the small village of Gravedona. With a picturesque centre, old churches and narrow streets, a nice boulevard and a harbour for sailing and small motorboats. There is a long gravel beach at the estuary of the mountain stream Liro, which is perfect for sun bathing or a picnic. The lakeside is at 500 m. away from the apartments and restaurants, supermarket and shops are at 400m.away .
Gravedona	The surrounding area Gravedona was historically an important village, the palace Gallium, the baptismal church of S.Maria del Tiglio are testimonials to its history . The area has a temperate climate in summer and pleasant temperatures in winter favoured by the warm “tramontana” wind descending from the Alps. Being south of the Alps, especially in winter there are many days of cloudless weather. Summer thunderstorms, which last only a few hours, refresh the air. For golfers at least 3 golf courses are nearby including the oldest course in Italy: Menaggio. An excursion by boat, crisscrossing the lake gives you a beautiful view on the private villas and parks. There is a passenger boat station in Gravedona. Also, there are plenty of water sports activities.
Kitchen	Activities In close proximity: Restaurants typically Italian cooking, tennis, swimming pool, windsurfing, water-ski and sailing schools. Bike paths along the lake. Ferry boat excursions to nearby villages of Bellagio, Varenna, and down to Como. Gravedona is located on the western side of the lake 12 km of Menaggio 50km of Como 46km away from Lugano. In the winter months for ski enthusiast - St. Moritz (1 hour and 30 min.), Madesimo (1 hour and 15 min.) and Boron m. (2 hours).
