The vacation rental
From the edge of the pond you can see the Mediterranean shining on the horizon; in clear weather even the peaks of the Pyrenees. The valley, which ends with a dramatic 200 m high rock face behind the house is heavily wooded with holm oaks and other conifers.
Occasionally, one can hear the cries of the raptors which nest in the rocks above the house. Otherwise, one can enjoy the greatest attraction here: silence. This peace and quiet is a rarity in our modern, hectic world.
Les Crozes is a special place; one enjoy nature in peace, without noice, traffic, neighbours or other toursists.
Children are more than welcom. A high chair and cot is available (please indicate at booking). They will find a swing, sandbox and child pool in the garden. We have nothing against small tents or game huts ...
Domestic animals are permitted under your supervision. We ask smokers to smoke outside if possible so that the next guests can move into a smokeless house.
The 5 x 12 m swimming pool is located in a 350 m2 swimming pond and is 50 to 180 cm deep. There is also a place to play boules (petanque). There is plenty of space to just relax; this place is particularly suited to it.
Les Crozes is a vacation domicile of high standard where luxury and comfort unite with tasteful facilities. The vacation house is located in a house near the old Bergerie (without stairs) with about 90 m2 living-space. It has 2 bedrooms, each with a shower/bath of its own and toilet; one with two single beds and one with one double bed. The fully-quipped kitchen is integrated with the sitting room. Natural and comfortable building-materials like natural stone walls and lots of wood create a pleasant atmosphere. |

There are many hills an mountains in the surrounding area. There are also fascinating limestone caves and subterranean caverns.

Activities
There are ample hiking opportunities here: the international hiking trail GR 74 runs 1 km from the house and there is a thick net of other marked trails. The big lake 'Lac you Salagou', typical of the area is 12 km away, situated in red earth hills. Its shores are still natural and can see shiny silver fish jumping out of the water. Then there are rivers like the Hérault and Héric on which you can canoe, The countryside is also lovely for driving or picnicking. There are also many rock faces suitable for climbing, impressive waterfalls and high and old winding bridges built with mortar. And of course there is the Mediterranean coast with beaches and yacht harbours like Agde and Sète.

Travel information
Saint Privat is a little municipality in the Languedoc-Roussilon region, in the Hérault district, consisting of three small villages. It lies between the Causses Mountains which joins the Cevennen and the Massif Central to the north and the coastal plain to the Mediterranean Sea. |
