The Cottage
Irish traditional thatched cottage has been in the McElwee family for three hundred years.
It has been carefully restored by Michael to retain all original features whilst modern comforts have been subtly integrated.
Upon entry through the cottage's half door you come into the living area, the focal point being the traditional open hearth fire flagstone floor and open hearth fire, Irish dresser with old pottery pieces, spinning wheel and butter churn.
Charming Victorian Parlour/sitting room and 2 cosy bedrooms upstairs with crisp white bed linen. Kitchen providing everything you need for home cooking.
Bed linen, towels and fuel for open fire are supplied.

Margaret and Michael will welcome you on arrival at the cottage with turf fire burning and have everything nice for your arrival. Produce from our organic vegetable garden.

Ardroe cottage is set in a peaceful quiet rural area with large tree sheltered garden and an organic vegetable garden.
The Fanad Peninsula is very scenic with hills, mountains, cliffs, lakes and several beautiful sandy beaches, deserted seashores and the rugged Atlantic coastline.
Nearby is Ballymastoker beach and 18 hole golf links.
