Location and surroundings
The castle is very peacefully situated in the heart of Gascogne, aka "the French Tuscany". The region Gers, one of the most scarcely populated regions of France, is situated between Bordeaux and Toulouse, only one hour car drive away from the Pyrenees. Overwhelming natural landscapes and a rich historic cultural heritage determine the area. In the 16th century the castle was a hunting residence of Henry IV. Today it is a fairytale accommodation surrounded by forest with its own vineyard, fruit tree plantation, organic agriculture and ponds.
Three horses of the robust and calm breed Merens are available for horseback riding, with guidance if desired. We also offer horseback riding lessons. The 200m distant private lake invites for swimming and fishing.
