Location and surroundings
Feldatal-Köddingen is situated in the rural district Vogelsbergkreis. The valley Feldatal has some lovely hiking and cycle tracks that guide you through some beautiful pieces of nature. The mountain bike marathon route passes directly through Köddingen. In the neighbouring place Stumpertenrod you can visit the meteorological observatory Sternenwelt Vogelsberg. The natural swimming pool in Ulrichstein is very near to the vacation apartment. In Feldatal Kestrich is a solar heated open air swimming pool and in Groß-Felda a tennis court. You can learn horseback riding at Henny in Köddingen and take courses about medical plants. Within a distance of 18 km you will find the timbered cities Alsfeld, Lauterbach, Grünberg or Schotten. The highest summit of Vogelsberg is Hoherodskopf, 12 km from Schotten, which offers high ropes course and toboggan possibilities.
