The surrounding area
Centrally located in what was the big expansion (LEixample) of Barcelona in the middle of the 19th century. The building is located in the new development of the city outside of the medieval walls on a beautiful tree lined boulevard (the Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes) next to the intersection with an important avenue (the Passeig de Sant Joan), and close to the Gothic Quarter and to the area that what was used for the Universal Exhibition of 1888 (known as the Ciutadella Park with the Zoo inside), the Catalan Parliament, and different buildings and monuments from different Modernist Architects of the time.
Walking distance to other important buildings from the famous Catalan Architect Gaudi.
