The vacation rental
The cottage has 3 double bedrooms, one of which is on the ground floor (2 x double and 1 x twin beds), a spacious lounge with TV., DVD., CD and wood burning stove. The kitchen has cooker, microwave, washing machine and is fully equipped. There is a newly refurbished downstairs bathroom. All rooms have electric heating.Outside there is a private patio area with garden furniture and barbecue. |

The surrounding area
Tomintoul is in the Cairngorm National Park and it is only a few metres from the cottage to the most magnificent scenic countryside - mountains, forests and rivers, with many lochs in close reach. the cities of Inverness and Aberdeen, both of which have airports, are an hour and an hour and a half's drive respectively. The coast with its long sandy and empty beaches is only 50 minutes drive.
Tomintoul has several gift shops, post office and general store as well as restaurants, tea rooms, galleries , museum and a pub and hotel - all only 100 metres from the cottage.

Activities
The Lecht ski resort is only 4 miles away. Fishing is available in the many local rivers. Wild life safaris are available on the nearby Glenlivet Estate. We are in the centre of the Whisky Trail with a number of distilleries close by and also the Castle Trail, including the famous Balmoral Castle, home to our Royal Family, only 30 minutes away.
