Cottages viewed from the gardens

The vacation rental
Huddlestone Cottage has fully glazed entrance doors leading to an open plan living, dining and kitchen area. A log fire gives a warm focal point. There is a downstairs toilet and shower room. A pine staircase leads upstairs where there is a second full bathroom equipped with a corner bath. Two double bedrooms provide a king size bed and a twin bedded room to sleep four people.
Huddlestone Cottage now has the benefit of a Widescreen TV, Freeview, DVD/CD player, Freeview and Broadband 24/7 internet access cable (Cat 5 Network) for connection to your own computer equipment. Broadband is charged at an extra £15 per week or short break stay.
All floors are polished pine with rugs and much of the original stone walls have been retained. |

The surrounding area
We have made an area available to sit under the trees when it gets too hot (yes we do get hot weather!) and it is a favourite place for a lot of our visitors and us. We have also erected a tee-pee in this area, made of willow taken from the area around the wildlife pond which was created during the second year of the garden. A bust of Aphrodite also rests here snuggled in the hollow of the sycamore tree trunk that fell during the first year, surrounded by aconites, geraniums, foxgloves and purple bugle.
The vegetable and flower cutting area has been developed gradually over a number of years. It was part of the field directly behind the house to the right of the woodland area and tilts south-east.
