The Cottage

"La Gravette" was built in the 18th century where, in the past, the Roman colony Petit Bersac was located. The house which is reachable via an alley in a quiet located area was fundamentally restored in 2002. It is located on a hill with a far view to the scenic riverscape of the Dronne.

Character and groundplan of the house were not touched. The light 5 metre high living hall with its ancient fireplace, is 42 m² big.

In addition to that you experience the typical 33 m² big Périgord kitchen with a big dining table in front of the fireplace in the kitchen. Via the generous hall you have access to the two light master bedrooms with two spacious bedrooms and a third bathroom.

"La Gravette" with unspoilt view is surrounded by three terraces and has a modern 13 metre long swimming pool with a light-flooded poolhouse and big sun deck.

Petit Bersac is located in the meadowy countryside of the Dronne, across from the Auberterre, the historic city with the ancient subterranean church which was formed from a monolithic block.

Petit Bersac with more than a 2000 year old history was settlement area in the Gallo-Roman time. Beautiful discoveries can be visited in the small archaeological museum next to the Romanesque church from the 11th century.

Petit Bersac is a dreamy village with a backery, a restaurant and the Renaissance castle "Le Mal de Montet" which is in private ownership.

Almost in front of the house you can rent horses, explore meadows and forest by foot and by bike, creeks and rivers by canoe and kayak, in secluded lakes or you can go fishing at the nearby Dronne and you can visit the golf courses and tennis courts of the neighbouring locality.
