The surrounding area
Spean Bridge is known as the 'Crossroads of the Highlands' and is surrounded by fantastic mountain scenery. The village is just 9 miles north of Fort William.
Ben Nevis is only 15 minutes drive and you can ski, climb or walk from the Nevis Range Mountain gondola.
This area is the Outdoor Capital of the UK. There are mountain bike trails in the local forest suitable for the novice or experienced rider. Hill walking, watersports, golf and wildlife watching are all available locally.
Spean Bridge is famous for its historical connections, such as the Commando Memorial and with the 1745 Jacobite Uprising.
Within easy touring distance are Loch Ness, Isle of Skye, Glencoe and the Cairngorms National Park.
