The properties have been recently converted to a very high standard and were individually designed and furnished. All cottages can be let individually or together to provide a unique setting for a truly memorable occasion. The Woodhouse can accommodate upto 16 people for dining. The Malvern Hills, and our gardens with roses and irises mirrored in the waters of the moat make a wonderful backdrop for your break, whether it is a romantic weekend, a family holiday or a wedding party. All cottages have:

The surrounding area
This tranquil country property lies surrounded by the apple orchards of Herefordshire, described as the most beautiful county in England and the most unspoilt. Just outside Ledbury, the ancient and most picturesque market town in the county, it is also perfect for exploring Elgar’s Malvern Hills, Worcestershire and Gloucestershire and within about an hour you can be in Bath, the Cotswolds, Shakespeare country or Wales. The moat, gardens and orchards are full of plants to attract wildlife. There is something to see at every season, from snowdrops and wild daffodils in spring to roses, flag irises, damsel flies and bats in summer, apples, pears and plums in autumn from our own garden and rose hips, hares and the local Hunt in winter.

This beautiful area has many rural walks and outdoor activities, but is also famous for gastronomy. Hereford beef and cider are popular, and good wines are grown. There are castles, churches, houses and gardens to visit, horse-racing, concerts (Edward Elgar lived nearby) and festivals like The Three Choirs or Upton Jazz Fest Festival.

Travel information
From the M50, exit at Junction2 to Ledbury, go straight through the town towards Bosbury on the B4214. After 2 miles is Staplow. Turn left 200 m before the pub. From the A4103 Worcester - Hereford road, turn towards Ledbury on the B4214 until you reach Staplow. Turn right 200 m after the pub. |
