The vacation rental
We are providing high quality accommodation by means of a holiday cottage and home-stay facilities on a 5 Ha (12.5 acres) rural block. Rural tranquility, lots of trees (our property features over 100 different varieties of trees), good food and no stress, that's our motto. We can accommodate 4 people in our cottage, which is self-contained, fully equipped, features a cosy atmosphere, quality handmade rustic furniture and beautiful views over the Rimutaka mountains. Furthermore we have two tastefully designed double guest bedrooms in our main homestead, with a separate guest bathroom with shower and bath, accommodating another 4 guests.

The surrounding area
You will find us some 70 kms (1hours drive) North of Wellington in the Wairarapa, close to Martinborough vineyards, Greytown, southern hemisphere Stonehenge (Carterton). Flat land with mountain views, possible tramping in Rimutaka or Tararua mountains, fishing in Ngawi, Railway museum in Featherston, or just relax on our property amidst trees, birds and bees. Or learn about New Zealand rural life by participating in activities on our property, like learning about landscaping, gardening, and fruit production. Possibilities for woodworking and / or textile art. Or learn about New Zealand cuisine.
