“Casa Vela” is a nineteenth-century dwelling, completely renovated in 2004 with all modern amenities. It offers 6 self catering apartments (2-4 people) on 3 floors, elegantly decorated and furnished, including kitchen area, bathroom with an enclosed shower and top quality sanitary ware, air-conditioning, small safe, and television. Some flats have a balcony with a sea view and all are perfectly quiet |

In Scilla, dominated by the ancient fortress of the Ruffo princes “Castello dei Principi Ruffo di Calabria”, history and mythology intertwine, giving the small town a unique fascination. It faces Sicily which can be reached in half an hour by ferry; the mountain of Aspromonte (1,200 m) towers in the background, easily accessible by car or coach.
The sea at Scilla is an enchantment, with shades of turquoise and emerald which merge into purple, hence the name “Costa Viola” (purple Coast). Easy visits to places of interest in Calabria (Bronzes of Riace museum in Reggio Calabria), to Sicily and the Aeolian Islands
