The Holiday Apartment

Villa Nerida consists of 2 larger vacation apartments.

On the upper storey is a living room/kitchen combination, one bedroom, bathroom and a veranda.

Roland and Karin live on the ground storey and will be happy to answer any questions and provide information.

Built, plumbed and furnished to a high, middle European standard.

Our swimming pool is the Libyan Sea. A normal desalted pool can be found elsewhere but not here. To keep our house as environmentally friendly as possible, there is no air conditioning.

Due to the secluded position of the house, you will need - even only for a short term - a rental car.

Special features

Eco-house: we generate our power and warm water via solar panels. Neither the less, 230V still come out of the plug sockets. House and garden have their own water systems. The sewage is clarified.

Location and surroundings

The first thing you will hear in the morning will be the chirping of the wild gray partidges. Maybe a quiet "chugging" of a passing fisherboat. In spring the sheep baa as they graze on the meadows.

All in all, total tranquillity!

The panorama is great: from Lefka Ori in the West ob er Agios Pavlos in the South West to the Paximadi Islands in the South, further over the bay of Messara in the East. Our guests sofar have been more than enthused and you will be that too!

The nearest beach for swimming is 20 minutes walk away along a rough track. A lot of other secluded beaches can be reached by foot or car. A very long sandy beach is only 15 minutes away by car. The beaches are also accessible by bicycle.

   Wir waren im August/September 14 Tage in der Ferienwohnung der Villa Nerida und konnten uns gar nicht satt sehen an dem traumhaften Meerblick von der schönen Terrasse. Die Ruhe und Einsamkeit garantiert einen total erholsamen Urlaub. Die Wohnung ist sehr nett eingerichtet und man hat viel Platz. Frühstück auf der Terrasse - ein Genuss. Wenn wieder Kreta - dann zu unserem Lieblingsvermieter Roland in die Villa Nerida.

   Die Lage des Hauses ist grandios, die Aussicht und die absolute Ruhe lassen sich kaum toppen. Die Ausstattung ist sehr guter deutscher Standard , es herrscht Mückenfreheit! Der Gastgeber Roland Bauer ist äußerst hilfsbereit und freundlich. Wir waren in den ersten 2 Juniwochen 2010 dort und es war wunderschön. Wer Ruhe und Abgeschiedenheit mag und keinen Trubel braucht, nimmt den etwas mühsamen aber sehr gut machbaren Anfahrtsweg gerne in Kauf, man wird reichlichst dafür entschädigt.

   Ein ganz dickes Kompliment an Karin Krause u. Roland Bauer. Das was sie hier in die Landschaft gezaubert haben, verdient höchsten Respekt. Ein 4**** Hotel hat nicht dieses super Badezimmer, die absolut Mückenfreie Wohnung, die nicht einsehbare Terrasse zum Genießen und Relaxen mit einem traumhaften Ausblick.
   
   Wir waren 2009 tief beeindruckt von dem, was wir hier vorgefunden haben. Das hatten wir so schön nicht erwartet.

4. Entspannung pur

   Wir haben es sehr genossen, auf der Terrasse zu sitzen, auf das Meer und auf die Inseln zu schauen und die Ruhe zu genießen. Überhaupt hatten wir einen wunderbaren Urlaub, mit der Vielfalt, die diese Insel bietet. Dafür braucht man aber unbedingt ein Auto. In der Umgebung des Hauses, das ganz allein steht, gibt es verschiedene schöne Strände, an denen man gut baden kann. Im Haus haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Alles ist neu und angenehm gestaltet. Zur guten Atmosphäre trägt auch die freundliche und taktvolle Art von Roland bei, der sich immer Zeit für ein Schwätzchen genommen hat und Interessantes von Land und Leuten zu erzählen weiß. Alles in Allem: Wir hatten eine wundervolle Zeit auf diesem herrlichen Fleckchen Erde.

5. Abseits vom Massentourismus...

   Ruhe, Natur und der Blick auf das Lybische Meer mit traumhaften Sonnen untergängen, wir haben sofort abschalten können.
   Spontan haben wir noch ein paar Tage verlängert.
   Die Ferienwohnung ist groß und gut ausgestattet.
   Wir haben schöne Abende bei einer Flasche Wein auf der Terrasse verbracht und dabei den unvergesslichen Sternenhimmel beobachtet.
   Allerdings der Weg zum Haus ist noch etws verbesserungswürdig. :-))
