external view of cottage	The vacation rental The cottage is set up more as a home than a holiday let;very high quality furnishings, carpets etc. The kitchen was fitted new in July 2007 & much of the furniture too. Patio doors in the lounge open onto a small patio & garden where many species of birds & squirrels make fascinating watching.The surrounding woodland & riverbank walks close to the old village centre are suitable for strolling around but just a 10 minute drive will take you into the heart of the Pennine hills.
View from upstairs	The surrounding area The village has 4 very good restaurants - Italian, Chinese, English & Bistro - as well as take-aways, supermarkets & a good assortment of shops. The village is on a regular bus route & has a direct rail link to Sheffield, Barnsley & Huddersfield.
