The vacation rental
Le Pere is a comfortable large holiday home close to the village of Champagne. The house sleeps 4 to 10 in overall 5 sleeping rooms with 2 beds each. Big kitchen, big living room with sofas and chairs. As the house can also be partially be rented there is a second modern kitchen at the back entry from the south garden. The house disposes of 3 toilets, two showers, a bath tub, a bidet and several wash basins. All beds have recent matrasses. Technically there is a dish-washer, a washing machine, electric stove, micro wave, Astra satellite TV, HiFi with MP3-CD, telephone, central heating etc. |

The surrounding area
Apart from the beaches you can visit a lot of places in Charente-Maritime: There are castles very close by the house, such as Roche-Courbon, Crazanne, Panloy, Gataudiere. They can be visited from inside, and have great gardens. There are lovely towns with romantic old town buildings such as Saintes, Rochefort, and La Rochelle. There you can eat well, go shopping, and visit museums, churches and other attractions. In Rochefort there is, for instance, the historic ship "Hermione", the "cordellerie", the house of Pierre Loti. In Saintes there is a Roman amphitheatre, and in La Rochelle there are the famous port towers, the submarine port and the yacht ports to be seen.

Special characteristics
Our 5-m-outdoor swimming pool is desinfected physically with ultraviolet light and it is solar heated. That way it provides warm water which does not hurt in the eye. The grounds around the house are very spacious and completely closed.

From Paris always southbound on the A 10 (Aquitaine) until exit 34 (St Jean d'Angely). From there it is 40 km more on the D18 until Champagne. |
