Our vacation apartment has 60qm for 2-6 persons after the chinese wisdom Feng-Shui.
What does Feng-Shui mean?
It means wind and water. These are the ground qualities which you find in all things of live.
The principle YIN as against the principle YAN - only together it will be a harmony, this one will not exist without the other one.
Through the central location in the heart of Allgäu are the ways to the next surroundings very short.
There are also many sport- and free activities in the location Grünten-Alpsee.

Location and surroundings
The small, idyllic place Freidorf with its 1000 inhabitants is located quite close to the Iller and its floodplains. Freidorf is a district of the community Rettenberg (the southernmost brewery village in Germany), about 2 km away, with a view upon Grünten. The vacation region Alpsee-Grünten is located near the Grünten mountain, also called ‘The Watchman', Alp Lake (Alpsee) and near Immenstadt. Thanks to its central position in the middle of Allgäu, you can reach any place in the region, in a relatively short time.

The possibilities for hiking & climbing in the close vicinity are various and you can reach them by car in less than 30 minutes. Even the neighbouring Tirol is only a 30 minute drive away. You can make guided hiking trips with the mountain school (Bergschule). Our mountainous world has no boundaries: you can find here the Oberstdorfer mountain, the Hintersteiner mountain, and even the mountains Tannheimer and Lechtaler. There are a lot of cable cars and chair lifts that enable you to make a trip in the mountains, if you are not an experienced rock climber or hiker. It is worth trying! The Starzlachklamm and the Breitachklamm are unique natural experiences, which you should not miss. For the guests eager to bath and swim, there are a lot of open air pools, as well as bathing lakes and water parks in the neighbourhood. The lake Alpsee in Immenstadt is one of the favourite destinations for surfers & sailors. You can reach the Bodensee in only 1 hour by car. There is good public transport.You can use anytime you wish the toboggan run opened in August, which is available in all seasons and it is to be found in the Alpsee ski circuit, with big climbing gardens. Many walking and hiking paths enable you to have a quiet and relaxing vacation. There are extra routes for the ones fond of cyclings and mountain biking. Also nordic walking is popular in our region. In the winter, our region is ideally equipped for cross country ski runs and alpine skiing. All the ski lifts can be reached in only 20 minutes, the next chair lift is only 5 minutes away. The World Cup express in Ofterschwang can be reached in only 15 minutes, the ski jump in Oberstdorf can be reached in 20 minutes. The most modern cable car and chair lift, as well as many snow canons, offer the guests all sorts of snow activities. Even skiing by night on illuminated slopes is possible. There are plenty of toboggan runs. The cross country ski runs are very well prepared and they are a few km long.

by U. Vaasen from AlfterWir freuten uns sehr ....leider wurden wir ein wenig enttäuscht. Eine Feng Shui Wohnung im Kellergeschoß, bei der in einem der beiden Schlafzimmer überhaupt keine Fenster sind sondern lediglich Glasbausteine als natürliche Lichtquelle zum Flur hin. Im Schlafzimmer mit dem Wasserbett gab es leider lediglich ein kleines Kellerfenster, insgesamt waren diese beiden Räume nach unserem Empfinden etwas bedrückend...der Wohnraum sowie die Küche waren jedoch wirklich in Ordnung und gemütlich!
Fazit: ein paar chinesische Schriftzeichen an den Wänden und abgerundete Ecken in den Zimmern erfüllen unserer Ansicht nach nicht die Kriterien für eine Feng Shui Wohnung, war ein netter Urlaub, Familie Holzer ist freundlich, der Sonderpreis, der für diese Zeit galt war angemessen.Answer from Aloisia Holzer09/11/2011
Sehr geehrte Frau Vaasen,
es tut uns Leid, wenn Ihnen die Schlafzimmerräume nicht gefallen haben. Auf den Bildern kann man gut und deutlich erkennen, dass es keine Panoramafenster gibt, wie Sie es in vielen Hotels vorfinden. Es ist nichts beschönigt und es hat sich auch in den Jahren, die wir unsere Ferienwohnung vermieten, noch niemand über eine Kellerwohnung beschwert. Unsere Wohnung ist keine Kellerwohnung. Das Haus ist an einer Hanglage gebaut. Man kommt vom Wohnzimmer direkt ebenerdig auf die Terrasse und in den Garten, den Sie auch bei strahlendem Herbstwetter nicht genutzt haben ausser zum Rauchen. Außerdem wage ich zu bezweifeln, ob Sie die Kriterien für Feng-Shui kennen - es gibt viel mehr als "nur" ein paar chinesische Schriftzeichen und abgerundete Ecken. Wir hätten Sie gerne direkt vor Ort darüber aufgeklärt.
