The Holiday House

This wonderful vacation house has a ground and a first floor. Downstairs you'll find the comfortable sitting room, the dining area, the fully equipped kitchen, the bathroom, hall and veranda. Upstairs are two large bedrooms.
The big garden with fire-place is enclosed on all sides and therefore an ideal playing ground for your children. This vacation house has no lack of comfort with its washing machine, modern kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, electric cooker etc. The two bedrooms have two single beds each (which you can put together to litsjumeaux), in one bedroom and in the living room there is also a sleepcouch. For the little one we provide a babybed.

Location and surroundings

Schlicht is a small village that lies 3 km from Feldberg, a little town where you can find all kinds of shops for your daily needs and several nice restaurants. The surroundings are beautiful: fields, woods and many clearwater lakes. It's a paradise for lovers of pure nature and peace and quiet. Here you'll find lots of ways to spend your holidays: swimming, walking, cycling, scuba diving, canoeing, waterskiing... But of course you can also do nothing and just enjoy the scenery. The nearestby - very child friendly - beaches are within 10 minutes reach by bicycle.

From Schlicht it is a 2 hours journey to the centre of Berlin (car or car/train). To the white sandy beaches of Usedom or the polish city Stettin it is also a two hours drive.

   Wir hatten dieses Ferienhaus vom 18.06.-25.06.2011 gemietet. Das Ferienhaus entsprach genau der Beschreibung und den Bildern im Internet. Die Küche bietet jeglichen Komfort, die Betten sind bequem und zumindest die 1. Etage des Ferienhauses gefielen uns sehr. Zu der oberen Etage müssen wir bemerken, dass eine kleine Renovierung den Wänden gut tun würde. Die Schränke bieten in den Schlafzimmern zwar jede Menge Stauraum, sind aber auch schon älter. Da die Schlafzimmer sich im Dachgeschoss befinden sind Jalousien Pflicht, es ist auch alles vorhanden. Als Eltern ist darauf zu achten, die Kinder nicht unbeobachtet zu lassen. Die Schnüre der Jalousien sind sehr lang und Kinder können die Gefahr, die damit einhergeht nicht immer einschätzen.
   Man sollte auch wissen, wenn man mit einem Säugling anreist, so war es bei uns der Fall, unbedingt Wasser (geeignet für Säuglingsnahrung) selbst mitzubringen. Das Wasser ist sehr kalkhaltig, so dass unsere Flaschen am ersten Tag einen "Kalkfilm" vom Auskochen hatten. Ein Babybett ist vorhanden und fast nagelneu. Unsere Kleine schlief darin sehr ruhig.
   Der Garten ist wunderschön, sehr gepflegt und hat auch einen Kirschbaum, von dem wir naschen konnten. Insgesamt war das gesamte Haus sehr sauber und gepflegt. Genügend Spielzeug und Spiele sind da, super für unsere Kinder. Jeden Abend haben wir Gesellschaftsspiele gespielt. Frau Schmidt die Haushälterin und auch die Vermieter sind sehr nett.
   Zu der Umgebung: Schlicht ist sehr ruhig, mit einem hohen Erholungswert. Leider spielte bei uns das Wetter nicht mit, aber die Seen in der Umgebung sind sehr sauber. Die Landschaft ist klar was für Wanderer und Radsportler. Uns haben so ein bisschen Angebote für kleine Kinder gefehlt, der Tourismus ist mehr auf Erwachsene ausgerichtet. Das war ein wenig schade. Die Landschaft insgesamt allein ist schon eine Reise wert.
   Der Urlaub ist somit mit einem sehr guten Preis- Leistungsverhältnis zu bewerten.
   
   Wir kommen aber gerne wieder, wenn unsere Kinder alleine Fahrrad fahren können und auch das Wandern nicht so anstrengend ist!
