The surrounding area
Antico Borgo Piceno is in the roman and medieval "Borgo Solestà" district; over the roman bridge, you are already in the center of Ascoli Piceno, with its artistic attractions including the famous and fascinating Piazza del Popolo. In half an hour, you can reach the beach at Porto d'Ascoli-San Benedetto del Tronto, or the sky-resort at Monte Piselli. The highest mount of the Sibillini chain, Monte Vettore (2478), is at just one hour car-drive. In short trips through the Valle del Tronto or over the surrounding hills and mountains, you will enjoy the magic atmosphere of the small villages, the beautiful nature and the rich gastronomic offer of the Piceno province.
