The vacation rental
which once formed part of a magni ficent Venetian Estate in the hillsides, 4 Km west of Rethymno. The sur rounding hills are richly verdant with diverse flora, and in parts still thickly wooded with Oak trees, yet the nea rest sandy beach is only 2 Km away. The house has three bedrooms and is suitable for up to 6 people. A pri vate swimming pool of 30 sqm in size is available, barbeque The en trance to the house is off the sleepy main square of the village, and the living area of the house is very pri vately and quietly positioned behind an enormous mellowed stone arch. The surrounding area
to form a most unusual and inspiring living area of 140 m/2.The surroun ding south facing walled gardens and terraces are particularly lovely, with an orangery and vineyard, fruit trees and prickly pears. Indoors, a tasteful combination of mellowed stone, solid wood fitments, beamed ceilings, soft earth colours, and the gracious scale of the building give a unique atmos phere. The villa is equipped with un derfloor heating (at an extra local charge) and a huge stone fireplace for the cooler times of the year. The vault provides a comfortable large split-level living/dining area, with a kitchen area at one end.
