The vacation rental
The country estate for those seeking a break, bon viveurs and ramblers, in an idyllic location in the south of the Bavarian Forest. All seasons offer enchanting leisure time activities.
Rambles through unspoilt nature and sport-related offers such as golf, Nordic walking, alpine winter sports and a cross country centre.
Ski schools for children and adults. Families and children will find fun and a lot of space to play, rides on our ponies, a playground, bathing in our naturally laid out bathing pond, large sunbathing lawn with loungers as well as our own tennis court.
The apartments and holiday apartments are lovingly furnished. All of the apartments have their own kitchens, some with a dishwasher for self-caterers, large dining areas, group seating, television, telephone, balcony or terrace, bath/shower and WC, the bedrooms have double beds and single beds for children. Children’s furnishings available.
For booked meals we use mainly fresh products from the region and from bio-culture. We also offer other types of food. Shared barbecue evenings and themed buffets are popular. Self-caterers can order the “Grüne Kiste” [“green box”].
In the house there is a book corner, games gallery, table tennis and darts.
The family dogs Leica and Bianca, cats, hares and sheep will be glad to see you.
Handicrafts, baking “bread on a stick”, handicrafts afternoons, taste “Kräuterlimo” [a sweetened carbonated beverage flavoured with herbs], etc. “Kräuterwanderungen” [hikes during which wild plants and herbs are gathered] and demonstrations of how to use these plants and herbs are offered. Enjoy the small wellness oasis with its Finnish sauna and steam bath, wonderful scents and sounds. In the infrared cabins or using the Kneipp applications, use your internal healer, the senses come to rest here and energy returns. Trained hands spoil you with a sensitive massage or restorative cosmetic applications with biological products.

The city of Passau is the cultural centre, with sights such as castles museums, monasteries and churches.
The “European Weeks” take place very year in the summer.
Trips to the neighbouring Upper Austria, the Czech Republic with the UNESCO world cultural heritage site, the small town of Kumau an der Moldau or Budweis, or to our beautiful east Bavarian region, rich in tradition and containing the Bavarian National Park.

Travel information
The best way for you to reach us is via the A3 Passau Nord [motorway], Hauzenberg exit. You travel along the Danube, always in the direction of Hauzenberg. There are direction signs to Breitenberg here. To begin with, you travel through the area of Sonnen, travel along this route as far as the large information boards (cross-country centre, ski jumping hill) and a bridge. After the bridge, there is a long drive down into the valley. Right in the valley floor, before Breitenberg, there is a signpost to >Wegscheid<. Here, you turn right and, after ca. 300 m, take the Tiefleiten slip road on the right. At the end you will see our country estate. |
