B&B suite, Mimiha cottage
 |
The vacation rental
Would you like to be pampered or do you prefer to look after yourselves?
Here you can choose between our attractive, private, well-appointed B&B unit and be looked after; or our neat, fully equipped self-catering cottage.
You can relax in our idyllic country garden with lake, stream, petanque and spa pool, in quiet, tranquil surroundings, or climb up the wonderful hills, tramp along the farm tracks, lie in the long grass, or stroll on the unspoilt beach.
Turn off State Highway 2 where it runs beside the sea, leave the traffic and noise behind and find our special place less than 1 kilometre up Mimiha road. You will sleep soundly in the peace and quiet and wake to the sound of tuis and bellbirds.
Come and enjoy this slice of heaven! |

Picnic/garden area
|
The surrounding area
Whakatane is one of New Zealand's sunniest cities. The region is famous for horticulture - kiwifruit, avocadoes, oranges, persimmon - and farming.
Offshore, White Island, a live volcano, offers a great day out either by boat or helicopter. And the Bay of Plenty is full of dolphins, whales and other sea creatures. There are beautiful beaches, sea sports, outdoor living, fresh food, and friendly helpful people.
You can walk, bike, travel by car, bus or 4WD to tour and see the sights, through native scenery, bush, wild untamed areas plus the well-groomed areas round towns and cities.
Mimiha Valley has the Mimiha stream running through, with marvellous hills rising either side creating a sheltered, picturesque oasis of calm and tranquility.
