The vacation rental
Set in 3 acres of garden with lawns, established trees and herbaceous borders of native plants and exotics. The Balcony Room has a balcony overlooking the garden. The Magnolia Room has French doors leading into the garden. Oakhampton Lodge is situated in the heart of Ohoka, a small village halfway between the country towns of Kaiapoi and Rangiora. |

Christchurch the garden city is only 20 kms away from Ohoka which is a village in North Canterbury, a farming area with many lifestyle blocks. Views of the Southern Alps form a backdrop to the green pastures of the beautiful countryside.

Walk in the countryside around the lodge, along streams and through farmland with views of the Southern Alps. Easy biking on long, straight quiet roads. An hour from hot pools and two hours from whale watching. 25 minutes from Christchurch with all that the garden city has to offer.

Travel information
Take the northern motorway (SH1) out of Christchurch. Cross the Waimakariri River and take the second turnoff to Ohoka. Follow the signs to Ohoka for approx. 7 kms. Turn right into Keetly Place just before the Ohoka Hall and Service Station. |
