The vacation rental
The Loue Valley is a gorgeous valley with preserved nature. The house, which an Italian carpenter restaured and expanded around 1912, was a former stable post office alongside the Napoleon route, which drove from Besançon to Switzerland.
Lucie Foglia is renting the 4 rooms as holiday rooms since 1952. |

The surrounding area
The Loue Valley is in every season a surprising Nature paradise. You will see chamois when walking on the heights, fish trouts in the river, or hear the scream of hawks. The Valley is protected by several French and EU programs.
As to culture, the environment will also give satisfaction, with the Courbet meseum in Ornans and the magnificent Courbet route. The famous XIXth naturalist painter was born in Ornans, a few kilometers away.
Pontarlier is famous for its absinth alcohol and its barock monuments. In summer, the Saint-Point invites to water sports. In winter, the region above Pontarlier has the largest cross-country skiing domain on the continent.
